Enmarket Charity Classic Raises $270,000, Bringing 5-year Total to $1 Million

(SAVANNAH, Ga.) – The Enmarket Charity Classic golf tournament returned to Savannah April 4, raising $270,000 for charity and driving the total raised over Enmarket’s 5-year sponsorship past the $1 million mark.

Achieving that milestone involved the efforts of 271 golfers and 115 companies participating in the 2024 Enmarket Charity Classic.

As in past years, this year’s proceeds will be split evenly between The 200 Club of the Coastal Empire, which is devoted to assisting the spouses and children of the area first responders killed in the line of duty, and Make-A-Wish Georgia, which grants the wishes of seriously ill children.

Sponsorship of the charity tournament is part of Enmarket’s sponsorship of the Club Car Championship, an annual pro golfing tournament at The Landings Club that ran from April 1 through April 7, 2024. The event was staged at the Marshwood and Magnolia courses at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club.

“We are excited to see our impact reach the $1 million milestone with this year’s Enmarket Charity Classic. It took a record-breaking performance from Enmarket and the communities we serve. Still, the quarter of a million dollars raised by this day-long event put us over the top,” said Matt Clements, Enmarket’s president. “The two organizations which will benefit from this funding are The 200 Club and Make-A-Wish Georgia, and Enmarket is proud to be associated with these fine efforts.”

“We are deeply grateful for the continued support from Enmarket and the community. Their commitment has been instrumental in helping us fulfill our mission of aiding the families of our fallen first responders. This significant milestone of $1 million raised over five years reflects the dedication and generosity of all involved,” said Mark Dana, president and CEO of the 200 Club.

Clements pointed out that Enmarket has a long-standing track record of supporting the community via various events, both with fund-raising and volunteer activities on the part of its more than 1,300 retail employees. The company also commits to making healthier choices available to its customers. He added that commitment is reflected in the active events Enmarket chooses to back, such as the golf tournament and the annual Enmarket Bridge Run.

Charity golf tournaments are a big part of the fundraising landscape in this country and account for $4 billion annually to benefit nonprofits, according to a GolfStatus executive writing for Nonprofit Tech for Good’s website.

A QUARTER MILLION RAISED AT ENMARKET CHARITY CLASSIC

(SAVANNAH, Ga.) The Enmarket Charity Classic returned on March 23, raising $250,000 to be split evenly between the 200 Club of the Coastal Empire and Make-A-Wish Georgia.

This was the fourth presentation of the annual Enmarket Charity Classic, which is part of the company’s sponsorship of the Club Car Championship at The Landings Club. More than 280 golfers took part in the charity tournament this year.

“This event benefits two remarkable nonprofit organizations, and Enmarket couldn’t be prouder of our role in helping both the 200 Club and Make-A-Wish Georgia,” said Matt Clements, Enmarket’s president. “We recognize how vital it is to be a good corporate citizen, but beyond that, events like the Enmarket Charity Classic also illustrate the joys of living in the Coastal Empire.”

“Enmarket and the Enmarket family have a long history of generous support for the 200 Club,” said Mark Dana, president of the organization, which supports the families of fallen police officers and firefighters. “This backing makes it possible for us to support the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our community.”

“We bring hope to our local wish kids and their families, and we couldn’t do it without the generous support of companies like Enmarket and the Enmarket Charity Classic sponsors. Our vision of granting the wish of every child in our area is only possible through the dedicated commitment of long-term supporters like Enmarket,” said Meghan Lowe, southeast development director for Make-A-Wish Georgia.

The 200 Club serves the families of fallen first responders in our area, while Make-A-Wish Georgia grants wishes of critically ill children.

Thanks to our vendor partners, the event set new records for player numbers and dollars raised, Clements said.

Participants in the Enmarket Charity Classic played the Marshwood and Magnolia courses at The Landings Golf and Athletic Club.

Enmarket and Make-A-Wish Georgia Present Disney World Trip to Disney Fan Wish Kid

(SAVANNAH, GA) On October 26, Make-A-Wish Georgia and Enmarket partnered to grant one teenager’s wish of going to the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla.

DeMichael, 13, loves Christmas and Disney World, so it was only fitting Enmarket threw him a Christmas-themed party at its headquarters while surprising him with his wish. His mother said Mickey Mouse is his favorite Disney character.

Need a real estate company in Savannah, Ga? – please meet: Celia Dunn, owner of Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty in Savannah, GA

Beloved real estate expert and community leader Celia Dunn knows and loves Savannah.

Celia Dunn, owner of Celia Dunn Sotheby's International Realty

Celia Dunn, owner of Celia Dunn Sotheby's International Realty in Savannah, GA

Three decades of integrity and dedicated attention to clients have made Celia Dunn Sotheby’s
International Realty the Low Country’s premier firm, chosen by Sotheby’s International Realty
Affiliates Inc. as its exclusive Savannah affiliate.

www.celiadunnsir.com

British actor Stephen Fry writes in his book, “Stephen Fry in America”: “In all of Savannah today
I do not suppose there is anyone who knows more about the houses of the historic district than
Celia Dunn, the town’s best-known realtor, or ‘estate agent’ as we would say in British English.
I spent a delightful three hours in her company, unlocking the doors of grand houses for which
she has the key and finding myself in closed worlds of tasteful grandeur and graceful splendor
that are almost too perfect to be bearable.

“Everywhere we go Celia is stopped and greeted. She is as well known a landmark in Savannah
as Monterey Square and quite as grand.”

Her ground-breaking efforts to revive the Historic District and its threatened architectural
gems started in the 1960s. For a decade before she opened her real estate company, Celia
and her husband, Laurence, convinced people to move downtown when it was still filled with
abandoned buildings. She connected several people with available downtown properties without
compensation.

She became a Realtor and opened her own firm after working for another in town. Celia
and Larry have grown the business from a one-woman company to one that today has
offices in Savannah and Bluffton, with more than 60 agents, brokers and staff members.
Despite the boys’ club that was prevalent in the 1970s and 80s business community, she
became an acknowledged business and community leader, widely respected in Savannah and
in the larger real estate field as a valuable resource and as a person who developed a thriving
business while maintaining integrity in all her dealings.

Dunn has always been a dedicated community leader and serves on many civic boards. Celia
and Larry have demonstrated their love of this community with countless hours of involvement
in many organizations and donations.

Celia has been inducted into the Savannah Business Hall of Fame. Inductees are chosen
based on their business accomplishments as well as their contributions to the community.
Celia has received recognition for being in the Distinguished Sales Society of the Savannah
Area Board of Realtors for the past 30 years. She has been featured on the BBC and HGTV.
Celia has been the Georgia Week chairperson and served on the board of the Savannah
Technical Foundation and the Savannah Music Festival, as well as Historic Savannah
Foundation. She served as president of the Junior League of Savannah. She serves on the
board of the Sweet Briar College Friends of Art.

Known for its tradition of integrity and real estate expertise, Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty focuses on excellent service – and that service doesn’t end at the closing. Celia and her associates introduce their new neighbors to the community and show them the many ways to make new friends in Savannah and the Low Country.

Celia doesn’t do it as a business strategy. She does it because she enjoys meeting people and helping her new neighbors learn about the area she loves and calls home. Because Celia is so involved in the community, she lets new residents know about the huge range of civic and social organizations they can choose from here. Celia knows that new residents of Savannah and the Low Country will feel happier, more at home and more a part of the community if they get involved in local organizations as soon as possible.

Celia, her husband, Larry, and their associates make sure the new residents get to know people in the neighborhood, and often take them a gift or a meal, bring families with kids to the pool, or take them to the schools to introduce them to the principal or headmaster. Because of Celia’s natural kindness, friendliness, and love of people, she is the perfect introduction to Savannah and Southern hospitality.
