About MARJORIE YOUNG:

Marjorie Young, Carriage Trade Public Relations

Marjorie frequently shares her expertise with business owners around the country, lecturing in cities such as Atlanta, Austin and Washington, D.C. In 2006 Marjorie won Entrepreneur of the Year from the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2011, Marjorie was named Savannah’s Community Star by the Savannah Morning News and in 2013 The Small Business of the Year.

She is the past president of SCORE, Small Business Chamber and the Small Business Council. Marjorie is a graduate of Leadership Southeast Georgia and Leadership Savannah. She currently sits on the SCORE Board, Hospice Savannah Board and The Savannah Book Festival Board.

Marjorie is the co-author of Women in Suits. She holds frequent PR Bootcamps and a monthly online coaching webinars that empowers business owners and nonprofit organizations to take control of their PR, brand and message.

She graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Journalism and minor in Fine art. She has a 28-year-old daughter working on her Ph.D. in Robotics Engineering at Georgia Tech.

 

About CECILIA RUSSO TURNER:

Cecilia Russo, Cecilia Russo MarketingCecilia has garnered extensive experience in collaborative public relations, marketing, fundraising, social media optimization and community relations among a broad range of constituencies for a common goal. Working with over 3500 Alumni of Benedictine Military School and then the many American Red Cross donors within a geographical area of 25 counties in Georgia, she exceeded the respective organization’s annual appeal and campaign goals.

Cecilia Russo Marketing provided strategic direction and major gift solicitation for the Veterans Council of Chatham County’s most successful campaign to date, the World War II Memorial.

Cecilia’s civic contributions include memberships and Board positions on the Rotary Club of Savannah, Kiwanis Club of Skidaway Island, Senior Citizens Inc. and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire as well as volunteer efforts on behalf of Junior Achievement of Georgia, St. Vincent’s Academy, the Diocese of Savannah and local private schools. She is a proud alumnae of St. Vincent’s Academy and University of Georgia.

 

About CYNTHIA WRIGHT:

Cynthia Wright, Carriage Trade Public RelationsCynthia Wright is the Junior Partner at Carriage Trade Public Relations and Cecilia Russo Marketing, where she oversees business development, manages the Visibility Team, and coordinates reputation management strategies for clients, media relations and online SEO-PR.

Cynthia was named a Rising Star in Business by Savannah Magazine and Savannah Morning News in 2017. She serves as President of the Savannah Jaycees, which is celebrating their 75th anniversary.

Cynthia graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelors in Communications focusing on Public Relations. She is one of six students to receive L.E.A.P. certification, which recognizes PR professionals who have gone through Leadership, Experience in Communication, Academics, and Professionalism training. Cynthia also received a certification from the Dale Carnegie LIVE online training program, Getting Results Without Authority, and Savannah Speechcraft for Professional Women course sponsored by Toastmasters International. In 2004, she earned national recognition at the International Student Media Festival for “Escape from Vietnam,” a website created by Cynthia and three of her peers.

Cynthia was the Publicity Chairperson for the Savannah United in Prayer event held on September 11, 2016, in Forsyth Park by the Community Intercessors. Cynthia has additionally supported community relations efforts of the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
