Yuletide Jam striving to top last year’s donation of $15,000 to Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia.

Savannah, GA – November 30, 2012.   The Yuletide Jam Team is excited to announce final details of its Fifth Annual Yuletide Jam Music Fundraiser to raise money for Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia.

The Fifth Annual Yuletide Jam event will be held at Tubby’s Tankhouse in Thunderbolt on December 8, 2012 between the hours of 12:00pm and 2:00am.  Once again this fundraiser is in memory of Patrick Ansley Williams, a talented musician and lifetime Savannah resident/business owner who passed away from cancer in 2011.

Stewart Marshall, the founder of this annual event as well as a Celia Dunn Sotheby’s Realtor and local musician (Stewart & Winfield / Junkyard Angel) said: “I am especially excited this year to have the Fifth Annual Yuletide Jam move to a weekend day so we can host an impressive list of 13 entertainers on 3 stages over a period of 14 hours, which fulfills one of my initial dreams for this fundraiser.”   Marshall added  “thanks to the efforts of an amazing volunteer organizing team and the unlimited kindness of our event host Tubby’s Tankhouse, I am very thrilled to welcome this diverse group of talented musicians on our stages to raise money for those in need of food over this holiday season.”

Presented by Cedar Hammock Records, this year’s participating bands are Bloodkin, Stewart & Winfield, von Grey, Nathan Sheppard, Wormsloew, Sasha & Ricardo of Velvet Caravan, The Savannah Stompers, Keith & Ross, Da’ Gullah Rootz, Two Path Road, Junkyard Angel, Turtle Folk and Eric Culberson.

Tripp Turner, Chief Operating Officer of J.T. Turner Construction, Second Harvest Board Member and member of the Yuletide Jam Organizing Team states, “For the second year, I am gratified to be able to combine some of my favorite passions into one event that honors my childhood best friend Patrick Williams. This event raises funds for an organization close to my heart while providing great entertainment through talented musicians. I personally would like to thank everyone who has made this event a reality.”

As an event open to all ages, this year The Fifth Annual Yuletide Jam will be hosting a kid’s zone between the hours of 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm with kids under 12 entering free.  In addition, a silent auction will be held between the hours of 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm, and the proceeds will be utilized for a scholarship in memory of Patrick Williams at the Savannah Technical College’s Culinary Art Division.  Food barrels to collect cans will be located at the entrance of the venue.

The Fifth Annual Yuletide Jam event was made possible this year partially through generous contributions received from corporate sponsors such as J.T. Turner Construction, Live Oak Restaurants, Savannah Reload, ABC Maintenance, Ameris Bank, Chatham Nurseries, C.S. Hurd, Enmark, Fox & Weeks, K-Machine, MacAljon, Sauers Construction Company, Seacrest Partners, Hamco, Merrill Lynch, Savannah Distributing Company, Groover Family Dentistry, Herb Creek Landscape Supply, ICOT Hearing Systems,  Instone Solutions, Palmetto Shutter Company and Savannah Tire as well as donations and support from various individuals.

Additionally, the many in-kind contributions and tireless efforts by many individuals and companies have made it possible to maintain extremely low operating expenses for the event and will result in a greater part of the proceeds going directly to Second Harvest.

Yuletide Jam raises its funds through ticket and merchandise sales, corporate and individual sponsorships, as well as cash and in-kind donations.

General event admission is $25.00.  Pre-event tickets are available for $20.00.  Free beer and snacks will be provided between the hours of 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm (as long as supplies last).
