Luxury Car Brand’s Growth Calls for New 30,000-Square-Foot Facility

(JASPER COUNTY, S.C.) Peacock Automotive has announced the construction of a new dealership, Audi Hilton Head at the New River Auto Mall. The groundbreaking ceremony for the 30,000-square-foot facility will be held Tuesday, Aug. 22, at 11 a.m.

Construction on the new building is expected to begin immediately and be completed in the spring of 2018. The estimated cost of the new facility is $6 million. The architecture firm contracted for this project was Hansen Architects.

The new dealership will be located two blocks down the street from the current Audi Hilton Head facility that is dualled with Hilton Head Volkswagen. When the facility opens, Audi will move into the new building, and the Volkswagen outlet will grow to occupy the vacated space in an updated facility that will be renovated according to current VW design standards.

“This expansion is made possible by the overwhelming demand for Audi and VW brands in our market,” said Warner Peacock, President and CEO of Peacock Automotive. “With this new facility, we are expecting to bring new inventory, new jobs and economic growth to one of the Southeast’s largest auto dealers in the South Carolina Lowcountry.”

The new spaces are expected to bring 20 new jobs, adding to the approximately 600 people Peacock Automotive currently employs.

The new Audi dealership will feature a state of the art repair center, along with convenient features such as a free coffee, beverage and snack bar. Audi Hilton Head will also be a dedicated Audi Sport facility, which will expand its inventory of High-Performance Sport models and offer more Sport factory parts and accessories.

Subaru of Hilton Head Hosts “Yappy Hour” to Benefit Local Animal Shelter in Conjunction with Clear the Shelters Initiative

(JASPER COUNTY, SC) Subaru of Hilton Head held their July “Yappy Hour” at the dealership at the New River Auto Mall in Hardeeville, S.C.

“Yappy Hour” was free and open to the public and their pets. Guests were encouraged to bring donations for local animal shelters.

Jasper Animal Rescue Mission, a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the stray and neglected dogs and cats of Jasper County, S.C., was on site with pets available for adoption.

During the event, guests enjoyed food from Skull Creek Boathouse and live entertainment from Brad Wells. Animal rescue staff was also on site with pets available for adoption.

Wish list items for the shelters include dry dog and cat food, dry puppy and kitten food, Clorox bleach, Fabulousa, Dawn dish soap, kitchen garbage bags (13 and 55 gallon drawstring), dog and cat toys, Rawhides & Nylabones, poop scoopers, powdered laundry detergent, crates and cat carriers, blankets, towels, collars and leashes, office supplies, cat litter and gift cards.

“Yappy Hour” was held in conjunction with the launch of the Clear The Shelters campaign, a nationwide pet adoption drive. Subaru of Hilton Head announced the launch of Clear the Shelters on Thursday, July 13. The community was encouraged to bring pet supplies to fill a fleet of Subarus; participants received a pet gift and ice cream as a thank you for their donation.

Clear the Shelters offers incentives such as free heartworm prevention medication for dogs, two months of free flea treatment for cats and prizes such as pet toys. Nearly 700 shelters are participating nationwide. Last year, Clear the Shelters found homes for 50,000 animals.

Seven shelters are participating in the Clear the Shelters initiative, including the Jasper Animal Rescue Mission, the Palmetto Animal League, Hilton Head Humane Society, Effingham County Shelter, Georgia Animal Rescue & Defence, Humane Society of Greater Savannah, and One Love Animal Rescue. Donations are being collected for each of these shelters at Subaru of Hilton Head.

Insurance Industry Accreditation for Scott Alexander Stevens
