Peacock Ford Opens Renovated Spaces in Orlando Dealership

Peacock Ford Opens Renovated Spaces in Orlando Dealership

(ORLANDO, FL) Peacock Automotive is pleased to announce the completion of Phase One of renovations on Peacock Ford, and has now reopened its showroom, service and parts departments, sales and support offices and customer lounge.

Peacock Automotive acquired the Ford dealership in 2017, expanding its established markets in Georgia and South Carolina to Florida. The company has undertaken this full remodel with the goal of bringing the building into the 21st century with state-of-the-art modern amenities.

Peacock Ford is located at 1875 S. Orlando Avenue in Maitland and sits on a 10-acre lot that displays nearly 350 vehicles.

The dealership has been operating out of temporary offices since renovations began in the spring. This will be a stark contrast with the sleek new design of the current showroom, which will better serve customers while the renovated lounge will enable patrons to relax in comfort while their cars are serviced.

“We saw the need for upgrade immediately upon moving in, and we’re excited to be able to welcome not only the community into our beautiful, improved space, but also our employees, to whom we have been so grateful throughout this process,” said Warner Peacock, chairman and CEO of Peacock Automotive. “We’re looking forward to continuing onto Phase Two, and we’re confident that during the project we will continue to deliver on the efficient, quality service our customers expect.”

Peacock Automotive plans to celebrate the dealership’s updates with a grand re-opening party when it completes renovations on the service shop in the fall.

Enmarket Opens New Corporate Headquarters on Chatham Parkway

Enmarket Opens New Corporate Headquarters on Chatham Parkway

(SAVANNAH, GA) Savannah’s largest convenience store retailer has a new home. Enmarket, locally owned and operated for over 55 years, has moved into its new corporate headquarters building at the corner of Chatham Parkway and Highway 17.

Enmarket Team

Enmarket Team

The 23,000-square-foot office building is the first completed phase of a larger complex on the site along one of Savannah’s fastest-growing commercial corridors. When complete, the complex will include a second building equal to the size of the headquarters structure. This will allow room for future expansion as well as a modernized and expanded version of the Enmarket store formerly on the site and an adjacent 70-foot tunnel car wash.

For now, the companion structure will serve as warehouse space and home to various store support teams.

“Our current office staff includes about 40 people who commute from Savannah, the islands, Richmond Hill, Effingham County and Bluffton, South Carolina,” said Brett Giesick, president of Enmarket. “The new headquarters site is ideal. It’s central and easily accessible for employees commuting from all of these areas.

“It will also be adjacent to one of our stores, which means our corporate staff can enjoy the same store amenities and convenience as other customers.”

The new headquarters will house the accounting, marketing, facilities, real estate, car wash, fuel team, human resources, training, information technology and operations departments for the company. It will serve as the central command center for Enmarket’s 124 convenience stores and 14 quick serve restaurants.

The new headquarters includes nearly 70 office spaces, multiple conference rooms, a bullpen area for visiting team members, a kitchen that features Enmarket’s dispensed beverage options, and a large training room with a capacity of 160 people. Such training space has become essential for Enmarket, which has built its reputation as an early adopter of the latest industry technology. Just this year, the chain led the Savannah market in introducing app-based, line-skipping technology with its Skip Frictionless Checkout. The office also features a state-of-the-art interactive multimedia system to be used for conferencing, training and more.

The rebuilt and expanded store at the site is expected to open in March, with the tunnel car wash coming into service simultaneously or shortly afterward. Plans for the two remaining out parcels on the site complex have not been announced.

Savannah-based general contractor West Construction Co. has served as the builder for the Enmarket complex.

Peacock Automotive Opens New Multi-Million Dollar Jaguar Land Rover Dealership

(JASPER COUNTY, SC) A grand opening celebration for the renovated Jaguar Land Rover Hilton Head dealership will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Area dignitaries and the public are invited to join Peacock Automotive and Jaguar Land Rover USA executives for the ribbon cutting and will be able to tour the new 20,000-square-foot plus Jaguar Land Rover dealership, which is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies such as an area designated for customizing your vehicle. The $4 million facility also features a high-end service lounge, work stations with WiFi and a gourmet coffee bar.

At the event, guests will be able to enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and beer and wine from SERG Catering. A special presentation will feature a performance from a bagpipe band.

“This is an exciting expansion,” said Warner Peacock, president and CEO of Peacock Automotive. “The demand for the Jaguar Land Rover brand had far outgrown the existing dealership, and this new facility showcases the brand’s models that are known worldwide.”

First designed in 1947, the Land Rover has excellent off-road capabilities while maintaining its luxurious status. The two brands were eventually joined to create Jaguar Land Rover luxury vehicles.

Christ Community Church Dedicates New Worship Space

Christ Community Church Dedicates New Worship Space

(SIMPSONVILLE, SC) Christ Community Church of Simpsonville, S.C., dedicated its new and expanded worship space at 700 Harrison Bridge Road with a two-hour evening program and service. Felder & Associates served as the lead architect in partnership with the Aspen Group, a design firm that specializes in church construction.

The $2.8 million addition and renovation includes a new 5,700-square-foot worship facility that can seat 420 people, along with a new office addition of 1,320 square feet. The existing worship service was converted to “Third Place” space — a welcoming connecting space that includes a coffee bar and comfortable seating for casual gatherings, group meeting, dining and fellowship.

Features of the new sanctuary include a large platform, storage, new restrooms and new audio-visual capabilities.

“The revision to the existing campus was necessary as the church congregation is growing and suburban development is overtaking the church’s previously rural settings,” said Brian Felder, Felder & Associates’ managing principal. “Simpsonville, just east of Greenville, is a rapidly growing community and the streets around the church property are becoming heavily traveled, which meant the congregation needed to address the problem of traffic noise within the old worship space.”

The building features heavy timbers that protrude outside the structure. The building itself is of insulated concrete form construction — a choice made for its outstanding sound-dampening capabilities, high energy-saving capability, and improved ability to withstand high winds during storms.

The new state-of-the-art convenience store was renovated to integrate its appearance into the surrounding historic district. The design of the new 3,522-square-foot convenience store at 405 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. drew from the site’s transportation-related history with its proximity adjacent to the Central of Georgia Railway and Georgia State Railroad Museum.

The non-traditional design includes, among other things, an outdoor dining patio, a green space, and a bike service area. Enmarket contracted with a local artist to design and paint a community-themed mural on one of the exterior walls.

The rebuilt outlet is accessible to trolleys and other vehicles critical to Savannah’s downtown tourism industry and features four multi-product dispensers with gasoline and diesel offering.

“We are thrilled to unveil this beautiful new store in the historic district,” said Brett Giesick, President of Enmarket. “The design and concept reflect the direction we are taking in the community which is to provide a more modern, customer-friendly store with a dual focus on pedestrian and automobile traffic.”

The new store features Enmarket products already available at other full-service stores, including fountain drinks, “chillen” frozen beverages, bean-to-cup coffee, and local craft beer. The location also includes Enmarket’s proprietary kitchen concept, The Eatery, featuring its signature breakfast biscuits and antibiotic-free, never-frozen chicken. Fresh grab-and-go sandwiches, salads, parfaits, and more are prepared on-site. This is the only convenience store to offer all of these options on the western end of downtown Savannah.

“This is a one-of-a-kind location for Enmarket,” continued Giesick. “A diverse customer base of downtown residents, commuters, local businesses, SCAD students and faculty, and tourists were all carefully considered when we selected this store design and the products and services that this location offers.”

Beaufort Dermatology Reopens Under New Management

Beaufort Dermatology Reopens Under New Management

(BEAUFORT, SOUTH CAROLINA) Pinnacle Medical Group cut the ribbon on its newest location, Beaufort Dermatology, located at 1096 Ribaut Road.

A crowd gathers to cut the ribbon on Beaufort Dermatology in celebration of the new ownership under Pinnacle Medical Group. Left to right: Melody Jones, Pinnacle Medical Group; Beaufort Councilman Philip Cromer; Beaufort Councilwoman Alice Howard; Blakely Williams, President and CEO of the Beaufort Chamber of Commerce; Trevor Klenke, Pinnacle Medical Group; Dr. Audrey Klenke, Pinnacle Medical Group; Beaufort Mayor Billy Keyserling; Jo Ann Cullen, Beaufort Dermatology; Anissa Stark, Beaufort Dermatology; Jose Casey, Field Representative for Congressman Joe Cunningham South Carolina First District; Savanna Dorsey, Beaufort Dermatology; Aylin Flores, Beaufort Dermatology; Jessica Fico, Beaufort Dermatology; Crystal Robinson, Beaufort Dermatology; Susan Fogelman, Beaufort Chamber of Commerce.

The practice’s parent company brings the latest in technology to the region, including the ability to diagnose skin cancer non-invasively.

The Chamber of Commerce and the Mayor Stand by Co-Owners Trevor and Dr. Audrey Klenke of Beaufort Dermatology, Pinnacle Medical Group

Dr. Audrey Klenke, the plastic surgeon who owns and leads the parent company of Beaufort Dermatology, Pinnacle Medical Group, was on hand for the festivities. Joining her were Beaufort Mayor Billy Keyserling, Beaufort councilman Philip E. Cromer, Beaufort Councilwoman Alice Howard, Jose Casey, Field Representative for Congressman Joe Cunningham South Carolina First District, Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce representatives and Trevor Klenke, Dr. Klenke’s husband.

Pinnacle Medical Group is delighted to keep this medical specialty available in Beaufort, where our outdoor lifestyle makes skin health a matter of such critical importance,” Dr. Klenke told the audience. “Plus, we are able to offer elegant spa services at this site in addition to critical dermatology services.”

Klenke acquired the original practice from two retiring dermatologists and added it to Pinnacle Medical Group’s holdings, which include Pinnacle Plastic Surgery and PURE Medical Spa in Bluffton, South Carolina.

A full-time dermatologist will join the practice after a national search is completed. Meanwhile, Jo Ann Cullen, an advanced practice nurse practitioner, will serve as the physician extender. Assisting her will be medical assistants Aylin Flores and Jessica Fico and patient concierge, Katie Bruns.

After the brief ribbon-cutting ceremony, the audience was invited to tour the practice where they could see new skin cancer technology such as the Vivascope 1500, which allows a diagnosis to be made without removing any tissue. Pinnacle is the only practice in the area to offer this option.

“Less invasive approaches to testing and treatment are on the medical forefront, and dermatology is no exception,” said Cullen. “With this device, we’ll be able to determine whether a suspicious skin feature is cancerous or just calls for careful monitoring. That means less pain, less expense and less likelihood of unnecessary scarring.”

After the tours, guests were offered discounts on Beaufort Dermatology’s retail products and spa services.

Bethesda Academy and The BarnBuilders Cut the Ribbon on a New Pavilion.

Bethesda Academy Cuts Ribbon for Newly Renovated Pavilion by the Barnbuilders

Bethesda Academy Cuts Ribbon for Newly Renovated Pavilion by the Barnbuilders

(SAVANNAH, GA) The Bethesda Barnbuilders, a local volunteer group, have finished work on newly renovated pavilion for students and guests at Bethesda Academy. The school hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the completed structure. The event was open to the public and a light lunch was served.

The Barnbuilders doubled the size of the pavilion and added a screened-in area. The group built the picnic pavilion in 2000 and have been expanding and improving it since.

The pavilion will be used for school functions and will be available for guests to rent for events.

The Barnbuilders have a special place on Bethesda’s campus,” said Mike Hughes, president of Bethesda Academy. “Our students and faculty have watched this group dedicate Monday mornings to our school for the last 20 years, and these men are a true example of hard work and genuine character for our young men.”

The Bethesda Barnbuilders have met at Bethesda Academy every Monday since 1998. On average, 12 men work on various projects at the school each Monday between 8 a.m. and noon. The group consists primarily of retired men who live on Skidaway Island. This year, the group received a grant from the Landings Landlovers to offset costs of the pavilion renovations.

As Bethesda’s Maintenance Director, Beau Lynah did an analysis a few years ago to value the work completed annually by the Barnbuilders and believes a conservative estimate is right around $200,000 each year. Projects completed by the Barnbuilders include, among others, a repair of the alumni cottage, an athletic trainer suite and new football lockers for the JV team.

The Junkluggers of the Lowcountry Host Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New Location in Bluffton

The Junkluggers of the Lowcountry Host Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New Location in Bluffton

(BLUFFTON, S.C.) The Junkluggers of the Lowcountry held a ribbon cutting in front of the Bluffton Chamber of Commerce.

The Junkluggers of the Lowcountry, an environmentally friendly and caring alternative to traditional junk removal, will serve Jasper and Beaufort counties in South Carolina. Specializing in both residential and commercial clean-outs, Junkluggers accepts everything from furniture to construction debris, including office equipment, heavy machinery and appliances.

“We opened Junkluggers of the Coastal Empire last October, but we quickly realized that the Hilton Head area had a huge demand for our services as well,” said Trevor Hess, owner and president of the local franchise. “We decided to open a new business to specifically serve this community.”

Junkluggers of the Lowcountry hauls away items people no longer want or need and strives to donate and recycle as much as possible with the goal of keeping items out of landfills. Customers receive a tax-deductible receipt for anything the company is able to donate on their customers’ behalf.

“Our mantra is donate first, recycle next and avoid landfills as much as possible,” Hess said. “Everything we put on the truck is sorted for donations, recycling and disposal with the landfill always being the last stop for any items removed.”

While keeping items out of the landfill is the company’s number one goal, Hess and his wife, Misty, are also focused on the impact the company can make in the local community.

“We partner with a lot of local charities that help a variety of causes,” Hess said. “From aiding those with special needs to helping formerly homeless veterans furnish their new apartments, we are extremely proud of the good we are able to do right in our own backyard.”

Junkluggers also plans to announce the opening of its Second Chance Store later this year.

This up-cycling retail facility will offer gently used furniture at deeply discounted prices as well as repaired items that otherwise would have been destined for the landfill. Proceeds will help benefit the Fisher House Foundation, which provides free housing for military and veterans’ families while their loved one is receiving treatment at military or VA medical centers.

For more information, please call 912-712-0227 or visit www.junkluggers.com.
