Kole Management Sells Apartment Portfolio, Focuses Solely on Property Management

Kole Management Sells Apartment Portfolio, Focuses Solely on Property Management

(Savannah, GA) Savannah-based Kole Management Co. is in the process of selling its portfolio of 13 apartment communities in two states to transition exclusively into property management. In its new form, the company will retain management of eleven of those properties.

“We have decided to devote all our time and expertise to third-party management and look forward to providing the same boutique, quality service to our clients and residents as we did when we were owner/operators,” said Kole ManagementCOO Khrista Villegas.

Kole Managementput its multifamily portfolio on the market in November, and all of its properties are under contract with closing expected in April and May. That portfolio consists of seven properties in Savannah, three in Macon and one each in Augusta and Canton, Georgia, and Charlotte, North Carolina.

”A number of factors, including historically low cap rates and broad investor interest in smaller market assets, came together to convince us that it was a good time to consider selling our portfolio,” said Kole Management Co.President, Jeff Kole. “Until recently, we had little interest in selling and were, in fact, building a robust and highly capable management company to oversee properties for ourselves and third parties. This sale provides us the opportunity to focus exclusively on offering boutique yet sophisticated property management for a wide range of apartments – from lease-ups to workforce housing – across the Southeast.”

The company expects to grow its multifamily property management portfolio with expansion into North Carolina and Florida, as well as additional properties in Macon. Details of those arrangements, as well as, the new positions brought on to support this growth, will be announced in the near future.

Peacock Automotive Celebrates 15 Years in Business by Announcing New River Auto Mall Rebranding at Unveiling Party on Thursday, Sept. 7

Peacock Automotive Celebrates 15 Years in Business by Announcing New River Auto Mall Rebranding at Unveiling Party on Thursday, Sept. 7

(JASPER COUNTY, S.C.) Peacock Automotive will hold an Unveiling Party for the rebranding of the New River Auto Mall on Thursday, Sept. 7, at 5:30 p.m. A new name and logo will be released during the event.

The Unveiling Party will take place at Audi Hilton Head at 137 Auto Mall Boulevard in Hardeeville, S.C. Invited guests will be the first to see the Auto Mall’s new branding materials while they enjoy refreshments and music.

Established in 2002, the New River Auto Mall is owned by Peacock Automotive, which also owns and operates dealerships in Savannah, Ga., Columbia, S.C., and Orlando, Fla., as well as the New River Wellness Institute and the New River Auto Mall Collision Center. The Auto Mall covers 45 acres on U.S. 278, 5 miles east of Interstate 95 at Exit 8 in South Carolina.

The Auto Mall employs approximately 330 people and features 13 brands, including Audi, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Genesis, Hyundai, Jaguar, Jeep, Land Rover, Porsche, Ram, Subaru and Volkswagen.

Most recently, the Auto Mall broke ground for the construction of a new 30,000-square-foot dealership, Audi Hilton Head. Work on the new building is expected to be completed in the spring of 2018 at an estimated cost of $6 million.

“We are also adding a Maserati and Alfa Romeo dealership to the Auto Mall in the next few months,” said Warner Peacock, president and CEO of Peacock Automotive. “We also have plans for renovating and rebuilding the dealerships on our 7.5-acre property in Savannah on the corner of Eisenhower Drive and Abercorn Street and at Peacock Ford in the Orlando area.”

In addition to a large inventory, the Auto Mall has state-of-the-art facilities for all automotive service and repair needs. Technicians are ASE-certified and work on all vehicle makes and models. Collision repair is also available. Every service appointment comes with a complimentary car wash.

“Establishing strong relationships with your customers, suppliers, employees and community partners is the key to success,” Peacock said. “One way is through planning events to support local not-for-profit organizations through sponsorships of a variety of events. Our dealerships all employ my personal mantra – zero dissatisfied customers.”

During the unveiling event on Sept. 7, the American Heart Association will kick off the 21st Annual Heart Ball of the Southern Coast by announcing the gala theme. Audi Hilton Head is the Legacy Sponsor for the Heart Ball, which will be held on Feb. 5, 2018, with an expected 400 guests. SAFE Shelter Announces New Name and Unveils New Logo

(SAVANNAH, GA) SAFE Shelter Center for Domestic Violence Services is pleased to introduce a new name and look in recognition of the organization’s 35th anniversary in assisting victims of domestic violence in the greater Savannah area. Originally called Savannah Area Family Emergency Shelter, Inc., the new name better describes the array of comprehensive services for victims at the shelter, those who have exited the shelter and for those who do not require shelter but need legal advocacy.

“We wanted to go into the next 35 years with a renewed vision of how to most effectively provide comprehensive services and outreach for all victims of domestic violence,” said Cheryl Branch, executive director. “SAFE Shelter Center for Domestic Violence Services has been evolving over the years and will continue to do so to meet the ever changing needs of our clients.”

The updated logo, designed by Pam Burgess of Pamela Burgess Designs LLC, pays homage to the original logo depicting a mother, child and a shelter; and includes the new name, along with a more modern, abstract feel and cleaner lines. A nine-year old boy who was staying in the shelter with his mother drew the original logo.

“Regardless of the logo we use or any rebranding, the most important thing to remember about SAFE Shelter, in its long history here in Savannah, is that no one who has ever been active in any of its programs or services has been killed by her or his abusive partner,” reminded Branch. “We want the community and victims to know that we’re more than just a shelter.”

This is the first rebranding of the organization in its 35-year history.
