Ronald McDonald House Announces Annual Charity Fundraiser, Wine Women & Shoes

(SAVANNAH, GA) Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire will host the third annual Wine, Women & Shoes, on Thursday, April 21 at the Georgia State Railroad Museum, located at 655 Louisville Rd., Savannah GA 31401.

Featured this year is teenage cancer survivor, Jillian’s Challenge. Inspired by the work of the Ronald McDonald House (RMH), 17 year old Jillian Drapper is working to give other children and families the opportunity to have the support that she and her mom experienced here in Savannah at RMH. Of course, she wants to do it “her way.” Drapper’s Challenge: help her raise money for the House by setting goals to have Executive Director Bill Sorochak change something about himself. The goals: $5,000 (Sorochak pierces his ear)/ $10,000 (Sorochak shaves his head) and $25,000 (Sorochak gets a tattoo). Wine Women & Shoes is a night features 11 pouring stations with 30 different wines, and food from over 15 local restaurants. Shopping stations will be set up, and the event will have a live auction and fashion show. During the mystery key events, two winners will walk away with over $10,000 of items with 100% of the event proceeds benefiting the RMH.

The funds raised during this event goes towards helping to ensure care for the critically ill children and their families in the coastal empire. For tickets or more information contact RMH at 912.350.7641 or on the web at http://winewomenandshoes.com/savannah.

She is now an ambassador for the Children at Ronald McDonald House Charities here in Savannah, and she is just one of a thousand examples of why we need your help.
