The Shelter is open 24 hours a day and offers a safe and loving environment to homeless, abused and runaway teenagers between the ages of 11 and 17. (SAVANNAH, GA) The First Annual Big River Film Festival is now accepting submissions.  The Festival will take place July 8th and 9th at The Savannah Civic Center. The early deadline for submissions is November 15, 2015, the official deadline is February 15, 2016 and the late deadline is April 30, 2016. AUTISM CONFERENCE

(SAVANNAH, GA) The Matthew Reardon Center for Autism (MRCA) announced today that it raised $20,000 from its awards banquet held on October 22 at the DeSoto Hilton Hotel.  Proceeds from the evening will be used to support the organization as it expands its resources and footprint in Georgia in order to better serve the growing needs of the regional autism community. This coming February 11-12,  MRCA will host the 2016 Autism Conference in Savannah that will feature keynote speaker Dr. Temple Grandin.  Her lecture free and open to the general public.
