(SAVANNAH, GA) The Savannah Mall invites kids and their families to a special event with Marvel’s Captain America on Saturday, October 31 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mall’s upper level court by Treehouse Adventures. In conjunction with National Bullying Prevention Month, the superhero will share his story and a few simple steps on how to deal with a bully.
During the event, Victoria DiNatale will also be speaking to kids about her experience with bullying and how she overcame it. DiNatale is one of the nation’s youngest experts on the topic of bullying. At 24 years old, she has shared her anti-bullying message with thousands of students and adults across the southeastern United States. National Bullying Prevention Month is held during the month of October and unites communities nationwide to educate and raise awareness of bullying prevention. Established in 2006 by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center, the campaign includes activities, education, and awareness building. National Bullying Prevention Month is recognized in communities across the United States, with hundreds of schools and organizations signing on as partners.
Captian America will take the stage at at 11 a.m presenting a brief program on anti-bullying followed by a meet and greet. and then will hand the mic over to DiNatale, who will present at noon. Capt. America will also be available for meet and greets from 1-1:45, 2:30-3:00 and 3:15-4. During the event, DiNatale will be documenting personal stories of attendees who want to share their experiences with bullying in her No Bullying/STANDING VICTORIOUS™ Challenge.
