(SAVANNAH, GA) The Savannah Mall is set to host America’s Got Talent Stars, Emil and Dariel Rock Cellos, for a rare public performance on Saturday, August 15 at 1 and 3 p.m. YouTube Superstar drummer Casey Cooper also joins the rock duo at Savannah Mall’s Center Court for this lively, one-of-a-kind appearance. Both performances are free and open to the public.
The teenage rock cello sensation gained worldwide exposure on the NBC-TV Nationally syndicated program America’s Got Talent (AGT) in 2014. Their live performance of “Purple Haze” on AGT went viral and garnered over 3 million views on YouTube. The boys finished as finalists and became a part of AGT live shows in Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas.
The brothers just released their debut self-titled album which is now available on iTunes and features many high profile guest vocalists. The generous 16 track album showcases high energy cello duets from some of the most beloved songs in rock history. The album includes the iconic Jimi Hendrix song, “Purple Haze”; Loverboy’s “Working For The Weekend” featuring Mike Reno of Loverboy; “Rock And Roll Hoochie Koo” featuring rock legend Rick Derringer; Jefferson Starship’s “We Built This City” featuring Starship lead vocalist Mickey Thomas; Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train” featuring world renowned electric violin pioneer Mark Wood; Guns N’ Roses “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and more.
Since the age of 4, Emil and Dariel have been playing the cello and continue to explore new and undiscovered techniques for this string instrument. Their long hours of rehearsal have been under the strict guidance of their grandfather who instilled hard work, dedication and passion in the pursuit of their musical career. The teens credit their success to their grandfather, also an accomplished cellist, along with years of disciplined commitment to their craft.
