SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Savannah Christian Preparatory School Fine Arts Council is proud to present our eleventh annual Broadway musical, Disney’s PETER PAN JR., at the Trustees Theater March 6, 8, and 9. This musical adventure is based on the play by J.M. Barrie and the 1953 Disney film. The cast is comprised of 69 incredibly talented 3rd through 12th grade students (selected by audition), a production team, and 40 plus parent and student volunteers.

“Our students have a complete Broadway musical experience, including set design, costuming, special effects makeup, voice training, and choreography,” said Lucy Biemiller, SCPS Fine Arts Council. Peter Pan JR.is the story of the boy who wouldn’t grow up and the girl who has to.

After finding his shadow in the Darling family nursery, Peter teaches Wendy, Michael, and John how to fly and sweeps them off to Never Land, where they meet Lost Boys, mermaids, indians and, of course, pirates. If the children are ever to return home, Peter must defeat Captain Hook with the help of Tinker Bell and her fairy friends.

Peter Pan JR. features classic songs from the 1953 film such as, “You Can Fly!,” “Following the Leader” and “The Second Star to the Right” as well as songs from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and the 2008 Disney film Tinker Bell. Performances will be held Thursday, March 6, at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 8, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, March 9, at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are on sale beginning February 1st at the SCAD Box Office at 216 East Broughton Street, online at www.scadboxoffice.com or by calling (912) 525-5050. Service charges may apply. Savannah Christian’s production of Disney’s Peter Pan Jr. is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International and will be a performance the entire family will not want to miss! -end- http://www.savcps.com/ www.savcps.com
