SAVANNAH’S RISING STARS OF BUSINESS TO BE HONORED
Savannah Magazine, BiS (Business in Savannah), The Coastal Bank and Mercer
University’s Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics are recognizing
Savannah’s Rising Stars of Business.
For the fourth year in a row, the two publications have partnered to profile the area’s
under-40 leaders who have distinguished themselves by their professional achievements
and philanthropic service within Savannah and the Coastal Empire. This is also the third
time The Coastal Bank has signed on as a presenting sponsor.
“Frequently, the nature of doing an annual recognition event is that it begins to run out
of steam after a few years as attention wanders of the challenge of finding appropriate
honorees becomes more difficult,” said BiS editor Gale Baldwin said. “As we go into our
fourth event, that hasn’t been the case with Generation Next. The community’s leadership
pool continues to be well stocked.”
Winners of the 2014 “Generation NEXT: Savannah’s Rising Stars of Business” will
be featured in the January/February issue of Savannah magazine and on the cover
of the Wednesday, January 15 issue of BiS. The 19 dreamers and doers who comprise
Generation NEXT will be honored at an event hosted at Belford’s Savannah Seafood
& Steaks at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 315 W. St. Julian St. Tickets are $10.
Admission includes light appetizers and two drink tickets. A cash bar will be available.
Tickets can be purchased at generationnext2014.eventbrite.com.
