To positively impact community safety, a highly educated work force, and community poverty depends
on significantly addressing challenges of poverty, crime, low educational outcomes, teen pregnancy,
truancy, etc. for a targeted segment of our community.
The solution to effecting these challenges depends on identifying root causes and applying community
resources to those root causes.
This presentation postulates that it is critical to apply community resources for appropriate development of children from birth to 3 yrs old and enhancing parenting skills of their parents which are the root causes of the challenges. It also suggests that an effort will need to be sustained for at least a generation and include participation by the entire community.
