Savannah: Exchange Student from Italy who is a Boy Scout Looking for Local Host Family

(July 10, 2011) Attention Coastal Empire Council scouting families: An exchange student from Italy who is a Boy Scout is currently looking for a local host family for the 2011-12 school year. He is active in scouting and is a member of the Catholic church. He has a love for music, plays the guitar and has also started learning to play the piano.
This exchange student is registered with AYUSA Global Youth Exchange, a division of INTRAX. Intrax is a globally-oriented company that provides a lifetime of high quality educational, work and volunteer programs that connect people and cultures. Intrax has operations in more than 100 countries worldwide and offers diverse educational and cultural programs including: high school exchange, international au pairs, language classes, volunteer opportunities, leadership programs, and work and internship placements.

AYUSA exchange students are between the ages of 15 and 18 and have qualified to participate in either a semester or an academic year. Students come with their own spending money and health insurance. While attending school in our country, exchange students learn about democracy and government, free enterprise, leadership and the diversity of American culture. In addition, your child’s school, by hosting an exchange student will earn scholarships and discounts to participate in ‘Study Abroad’ and ‘World Leadership’ programs.”
