(TYBEE ISLAND, GA) The Ocean Plaza Beach Resort on Tybee Island is pleased to announce that Michael Ciulla has joined its company as Executive Chef of the Dolphin Reef Oceanfront Restaurant and Bar.
Ciulla comes to the Ocean Plaza and Dolphin Reef from the Embassy Suites-Galleria and Courtyard By Marriott in Vinings, Georgia, where he served as Director of Food and Beverage. He previously served as Executive Chef of the Wyndham Vinings Hotel in Atlanta and of the Wyndham Vinings Hotel in Peachtree City. Ciulla is a 1996 graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.
Ciulla recently launched a brand new menu at the Dolphin Reef Oceanfront Restaurant and Bar which features a flavorful fusion of American, Southern, and Caribbean cuisines, with an emphasis on fresh seafood. His seafood selections range from grilled shrimp and grits and bacon-wrapped scallops over chorizo cheese grits to a classic crab meat au gratin to fresh fish prepared many different ways. His signature desserts include crème brulee, key lime pie, and caramelized plantains, all of which are made fresh in house.
