Carol and I enjoyed a quiet day by the fire. She is reading a 900 page book and I spent half of the day running invoices and December’s paychecks. My brother is flying the holiday crowd. He called from Kansas to say Happy Thanksgiving. I pulled out my orange flavored hot tea for the holiday; it tastes like “winter”

Kenan – thank you for sending this photo-
RLI held a weekend RLI session in Savannah, GA.
TOP 10 TAKE AWAYS FOR PART 1
Many clubs are now making RLI mandatory for all board members
100% of the donations goes toward programs. Everytime we make a donation to the Rotary foundation, they hold it for 3 years to earn interest. After 3 years, only the interest money is used to pay for overhead.
Rotary has an endowment goal of one billion dollars by 2025. Rotary would also like every club member to be a Paul Harris.
EREY “Every Rotarian Every Year” - is where each club member donates $100 or more to the Annual Giving Fund. This fund allows the money to come back into the district.
Make sure each club has a Foundation Chair. They help clubs coordinate funds and viable projects.
Rotary used to have 4 pillars – they have recently added a 5th, being Public Relations.
10% of your members should be on the membership committee.
Clubs should consider using Rotary’s organizational chart, where committee heads report to the President.
Clubs should make sure that EACH member is involved in a committee.
Sponsors that induct new members should mentor them for the first year, to help with retention.

Posted by mysavannah on November 21, 2008
They said that I need solar panels that could heat 40 gallons of water a day – for one person – in a 2000 square foot house -
I have to see if my roof has enough sun – first
