USA WEIGHTLIFTING
Posted by mysavannah on February 26, 2008
Last night, my friend Kerri Goodrich, CEO of Performance Initiatives gave me one of the USA Weightlifting warm-up suits. Kerri participated in the Olympics a few years ago, now she trains young people for the Olympics.
I actually looked forward to working out this morning at the YMCA, wearing this really, really cool warm up suit. It is dark blue, and on the back of the jacket it says in huge letters, USA WEIGHTLIFTING. I probably could lift BIG weights wearing this~
She said she made me an honorary member of the team, for the PR coaching we gave them.
Thank you Kerri!

Indoor Camping
Posted by mysavannah on February 23, 2008
I pulled my couch closer to the fireplace and enjoyed the last half hour of the warm flames. Jefferson was asleep in his dog bed about a foot away. He would occasionally open his eyes to make sure I had not walked back to the bedroom. As the fire faded, the sound of the rain increased. It banged on the window, the roof, and the tin, chimney-cover. It was a perfect mix for sleep.
At 8am I finally opened my eyes. The fire was out, and so was the sun. Jefferson was signaling to go outside. The bushes, trees, and grass were all shiny and still dripping from the spring-bath given by Mother Earth. The sound of chattering birds came from the hedge by the tidal creek. The sun caused me to squint, after 2 days of rain.

Wet Cat
Posted by mysavannah on February 22, 2008
Somehow my gray and white indoor tabby cat got outside. When Aragon arrived at the door he was drenched. I can’t believe he didn’t have enough sense to get under a porch or a car. It is going to take two days for him to “dry-out”
Can’t wait for my next dance lesson – what GREAT exercise!
